Vogel – Miriam (Rose) Vogel, of Brooks passed away in Brooks on Saturday, April 18th, 2009 at the age of 78 years. Born in Plunkett, Saskatchewan, June 4th, 1931, Rose moved to Rolling Hills in 1947. She married Art in 1951 and they farmed in Rolling Hills until 1985 when they retired to Brooks. Rose was predeceased by her husband Art, brother, Robert, parents James and Anne Ball. Rose is lovingly remembered by her 2 sons, Allen of Brooks and Dale and his wife Doloris and family of Edmonton; daughter, Dianne Zahenaiko and her husband Ron and family of Rolling Hills; 3 brothers Richard (Holly) Ball, Ted (Lorraine) Ball, and Grant (Audrey) Ball; sisters; Alice (Jack) Price, Lucille (Mike) Sprague, Joan (Bruce) Ewen, Ruth Lee, sister-in-law Millie Ball, brother-in-law Lloyd Bot; many nieces and nephews of Thunder Bay and Winnipeg and numerous friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 23rd at the 11:00 AM from Rolling Hills Community Centre. Reverend Walter Willford officiating. Interment to follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery.
