    TOOKE – Hazel Dyer Tooke – beloved Mother, Gramma, Sister and friend passed away peacefully on September 7th, 2007 in Brooks, AB. at the age of 92 years.

    Hazel Florence Dyer was born on November 25th, 1914 near Rivers, Manitoba. She was married in Bassano, Alberta on July 7th, 1941 to Arnold Tooke. They spent most of their married life at Lake Newell, retiring to Brooks in 1978.

    She was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Laura Dyer, her husband Arn; sister Laura Westbury and brothers; Alf, Stan, and Chester.

    She is survived by three sons; Jim (Lyn), Ken (Laurel), and George (Paulette); four granchildren – Troy (Dee), Holly Campbell (Tom), Trevor (Bobbi), and Ron (Natasha) – and two great-grandchildren, Brett and Van Tooke. She called them her “little ones.” She is also survived by one brother, Alan (Tillie) Dyer of Penticton, B.C., one sister, Dorothy Hendry of Swift Current Saskatchewan, and one sister-in-law, Betty Dyer of Calgary.

    She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews who were near and dear to her and also by her extended family and many friends. She was a dear friend and confidant to many and loved by all.
