TOLY – ISOLDE: On Tuesday, October 21, 2003, Isolde Toly of Brooks, Alberta passed away at the age of 68 years. She leaves to mourn her passing and treasure precious memories her loving and devoted husband Sam, daughters Joan (Dale) Lundquist of Drayton Valley, Brenda (Bill) Dudas of Lethbridge, Diana Toly (Terry) of Brooks, sons – Doug (Virginia) Toly of Bassano, Dean (Beth) Toly of Brooks, grandchildren Jeffrey (Karla), Andrea (Ben), Robyn (Ryan), Kayla (Kevin), Dara, Jaclyn, Bryan, Cole, Austin, Jarrid, Curtis, Amy (Marc), great grandchildren Zoe and Maclaren, sister Charolotte (Reinhold) Hirch and family of Rolling Hills, brother Norbert (Lorrie) Hirschkorn and family of Duck Lake, SK. Numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law and many relatives in Germany. Isolde was born November 10, 1934 in Tarutino Basarabia, Romania and moved to Canada with her family 50 years ago. She married Sam Toly in Picture Butte on August 7, 1954. They moved to Rolling Hills in 1961 where they farmed and raised their family until their retirement in 1995 when they moved to Brooks. A family graveside committal was held on Friday, October 24, 2003 at the Brooks Cemetery and a memorial reception followed at the Brooks Elks Hall for friends and family. Memorial donations in Isolde’s name may be made to the Brooks Palliative Care Unit or the Canadian Cancer Society.
