    Toderian – Penny (Achille Spirdon) passed away suddenly on Tuesday May 9th, 2006. Penny was born, raised and educated in Bellevue, Alberta. He joined the Canadian Air Force and became an Air Traffic Controller as well he worked with the Coast Guard in B.C. During the 22 years of service he was stationed in numerous bases in Europe and all across Canada. After leaving the force he pursued other employment opportunities in Trucking, Waste Works Management and most recently, employed at Allied Distributors in Brooks. Penny married Sheila Smith on Oct. 30th, 1981 and had two sons Blaine and Brendon. He was actively involved with his sons in Cubs and Scouts and had also helped with the Air Cadets for a brief time. Penny loved wood working, camping, hunting and especially the fishing trips on the west coast with his brother Gerry and nephew Steve. For the last ten years Penny spent many hours restoring a 1946 Fargo Truck, which was his pride and joy. Penny is survived by his loving wife Sheila and two sons Blaine and Brendon. He had two daughters Wanda (Greg) and Noella (Eric), brother Gerry (Gerri), sisters Lucinda (Ken) and Diane (Chris), grandchildren Zachary, Danielle, Sara Mary, Jenni and Sharalynn and numerous nephews and nieces. Penny was predeceased by his parents Steve (Spirdon) and Dorothy, daughters Wendy and Rhonda, and sister Lena Hollenbeck. Penny’s generosity, humour, love and dedication to family and friends will forever remain foremost in our hearts. We will always remember his courage. He will be missed. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
