Shirley Pearl Heryford born on the 30th of October 1935 passed away on the 15th of April 2009 at the age of 73. Shirley was born in Turner Valley, Alberta and married Lloyd Cecil Heryford on the 21st of December in 1957. They were married for 38 years and had four daughters. Shirley is survived by her mother Marie Fix, her sister Dory & her husband Curt Royer, her brother Ron & his wife Doreen Fix, along with their families. Her daughter Laurie & her husband Keith Thome, Peggy & her husband Rod Desgagne Carry & her husband Murray Suitor, and Debbie Heryford. Along with her grandchildren Garrett McKenzie, Carla Desgagne & her fiancé Merick Groom, Laci Suitor, Travis Desgagne, Ryan Rhyn and her great grandchild Donovan Groom. Shirley spent years being a mother to her daughters and a grandmother to their children. She will be remembered as a wonderful sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to people in the communities of Gem, Bassano and Brooks. The memorial service will be held beside the Knox Presbyterian Church in the “CE” building at 2 o’clock on the 2nd of May 2009. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brooks Diabetes Association or the CNIB.
