Redelback – Bertha Anne Redelback, beloved wife of the late Robert Redelback, passed away at her home near Brooks on October 18th, 2007 at the age of 86 years. Born in Metelek, Hungary on June 19th, 1921 Bertha received her education in Mankota, Saskatchewan where she lived with her family. She married Robert Redelback on March 16th, 1939 and they began farming in the Walsh area of Saskatchewan. They later moved to Brooks where Bertha and Robert farmed. She was very involved with the chores of tending to the livestock and deeply loved gardening, raising chickens, and sewing. Bertha will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to family and for her wonderful cooking. She was predeceased by her husband Robert on August 6th, 1999; brother Gabriel and her parents. She is survived by her loving children George and his wife Karen, Richard, Carol and her husband Ron; grandchildren Randy, Stacie, Richard Jr., Shelley May, Wendy, Craig, and Karry; five great grand children; her sister Elizabeth and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 23rd from Smith Memorial Chapel. Reverend John Theiss officiated. Interment followed at Brooks Cemetery.
