Owen – Linda Jean Owen, beloved wife of Neil Owen of Patricia, passed away after a brief battle with cancer, in Brooks on May 21st, 2006 at the age of 38 years. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota on March 28th, 1968 Linda received her education there. Linda and Neil were married on June 22nd, 2002 in Patricia and had resided there since. She has served as a Board Member for the Patricia Hall. Linda loved her family, her church, curling, gardening and most of all being a mom. She will be remembered for her kind heart, strong will and for her out going bubbly personality. Linda was predeceased by a son Garrett in 2004 and a brother Phillip in 1993. She is survived by her loving husband Neil of Patricia; 4 children Bennett Owen, Kyra Owen, Shelby Pratchler and Allie Pratchler; parents Ray and Iva Nelson of St. Paul, Minnesota; parents-in-law Donald and Margaret Owen of Patricia; 4 in-laws Ross (Brenda) Owen of Patricia, Zane Owen of Muskeegon, Michigan, Lenora (Russ) Fikowski of Lethbridge and Kim (Jim) Hill of Airdrie and numerous other family members. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 26th from Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. John Theiss and Maggie Theiss officiated. Honorary Pallbearers were Kyra, Bennett, Allie and Shelby. Active Pallbearers were Ross Owen, Zane Owen, John Irwin, Cam Morris, Brian Morris, Warren Henry and Jeff Owen. Interment followed at Brooks Cemetery.
