    FISHER, JAYCEE JAMES
    January 26, 1957 – March 21, 2018
    It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jaycee at the Surrey Memorial Hospital, Surrey, BC after a valiant and courageous fight with cancer.
    Jaycee was born in Brooks, AB to John and Gladys Fisher. He was raised in the Cessford area, moving to Brooks as a young man to work in the oilfield industry. Jaycee met Maxine Hauck in 1977 and so began their life together. They were blessed with two sons – Justin in 1979 and Travis in 1981.
    In late 1993 Jaycee, Max and the boys moved to BC, residing in the Surrey area. Jaycee worked for various companies throughout the years, spending the last eight years with CTDI.
    In the spring of 2017 Jaycee was diagnosed with lung cancer, after a 10 month battle he succumbed to the cancer surrounded by his beloved family. He leaves to cherish his memory, the love of his life, Maxine, their two sons Justin and Travis, his daughter-in-law Crystal and four grandchildren, Shyla, Tanner, Bella and Kylee. He is survived by five siblings, Ken(Donna) Sayers, Linda Fisher, Shirley Heck, Frank Fisher and Dennis Fisher. Also in-laws, Norbert and Madelene Hauck, Eric(Tracey), Allan, Gerry(Theresa), Lyle, and Darrel(Alicia). Numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Jaycee was predeceased by his parents, John and Gladys and a brother, Bobby.
    Jaycee was a very special man, a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He lived his life to the fullest and touched so many people during his time here with us. He was a great storyteller and loved to make us all laugh. He leaves an amazing legacy behind, we were all very lucky to have had Jaycee in our lives and as much as he will be missed, he will remain with us in spirit.
    A Celebration of Life for Jaycee will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 1 to 5 pm.
    If desired, donations may be made in his honor to the Cancer Society.
