Keith William Vickers of Brooks, beloved husband of Sheila passed away at Brooks Health Centre on November 7th, 2013 at the age of 75. Keith was born in Drumheller on January 5th, 1938 and received his education there. He ran heavy equipment for most of his life and in 1990 he became employed with Brooks Asphalt. He was a hardworking, happy go lucky man that enjoyed puzzles and loved to joke. Keith didn’t like to be idle and always wanted to be going somewhere. He adored his grandchildren and had a special love for his only great grandson Noah. Keith will be remembered for his love of family, his strong work ethic and a wave of his hand and the words “Ya-Ya”. Keith was predeceased by his parents Fredrick and Esther and is survived by his loving wife for 37 years Sheila, 3 children; Kelly James, Bradly Vickers, and Teressa Vickers, 7 grandchildren; Emily, Alycia, Angalina, Kyla, Braydon, Cora “Lea”, Brady,1 great grandson Noah, 2 sisters; Gail Vickers and Marilyn Christenson and many other family members. Services were held on Friday, November 15th at 2:00 PM from Brooks United Church. Reverend Kathleen Jones Officiated.
