    TROTTER – Eleanor Jane Trotter (nee Ferraby), beloved wife of Wilson Trotter of Brooks, Alberta passed away June 19, 2006 at Brooks Hospital. Eleanor was born on May 1, 1923 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan to Will and Luella Ferraby. She had her early schooling in Maple Creek prior to moving to Countess, Alberta with her family in 1937. She completed high school in Bassano and later attended Normal School in Calgary. She became a teacher, and initially taught in schools at One Tree and Patricia. Eleanor married Wilson Trotter from Rainier, Alberta in 1944. They raised a family of three children, and Eleanor also taught at Alcoma School until she retired in 1980. Eleanor and Wilson moved to Brooks in 1980 where they have since resided. Eleanor is survived by her husbad Wilson of Brooks, as well as her three children. Her daughter Janet lives in Airdrie, Alberta; her son Gayle and his wife Judi live in Millsap, Texas; her son Brian and his wife Beverly, and their (grand) sons Alex and Brooke also live in Airdrie. Eleanor was predeceased by her brother George Ferraby in 2001. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24 at 2 p.m. at Brooks United Church. The family would like to thank their relatives and friends for their kindness and support. They would also like to thank Dr. Thomson and the medical staff associated with Eleanor’s care as well as the staff of Newbrook Lodge.
