Tobler – Darwin Larry Tobler of Patricia, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 20th, 2024 at the age of 76 years. Born on January 15th, 1948 in Brooks, Larry was a true son of the land, cultivating a passion for agriculture from an early age. His life was a testament to the values of hard work, dedication, and love for the earth. Larry dedicated his life to the art of farming and nurturing the land. Beyond his commitment to agriculture, Larry had a profound love for animals. The farm was not just a place of crops and harvests; it was a sanctuary for the many creatures he cared for. His compassionate nature extended to every living being under his watch, creating a harmonious environment where his animals thrived alongside the crops. Larry’s commitment to community went beyond the fields and barns, he actively participated in local events like the Patricia rodeo and always loved to visit or lend a hand at the neighboring farms. As we reflect on Larry’s life, we recognize that his legacy is not confined to the soil he tilled but is deeply woven into the fabric of the community he so dearly cherished. He is survived by his children, Brad (Robin) Tobler and Jodi (John) Pisarewski; grandchildren Shae Pisarewski, Katie Pisarewski, Ashton Tobler, Aiden Tobler and Nash Tobler; mother Mary Tobler; brothers Doug (Vivian) Tobler and Wade (Frances) Tobler and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Alf Tobler in 2015, friend Val Klein in 2018 and numerous aunts and uncles. May his soul rest in eternal peace and may the crops in his fields forever sway in gratitude for the care he bestowed upon them. A farewell ceremony to Celebrate the Life of Larry will be held on Thursday, February 1st at 11:00 am from the Patricia Hall. Interment at Patricia Cemetery. In Larry’s memory, the family requests donations to Brooks Animal Protection Society, Box 86, Brooks, Alberta T1R 1B2.
