Craig Kevin Joseph Schnell
1957-2024
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Craig Schnell on January 14, 2024 at the age of 66. Craig passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family.
Craig was born in Lampman, SK and grew up in Cessford, AB. Craig worked and played hard from a young age. He worked in the oilfield, started Maverick, then pursued his passion for flying and received his pilot’s license in 1981. Craig dedicated much of his career flying over the northern bush, his beloved prairies, and later, his wingtips touched many parts of Canada and the United States.
Craig was a beloved father and husband, a treasured brother and son, and a dear friend to many. Married for 39 years to Jo-Ann, his childhood sweetheart, they lived life to the absolute fullest. Traveling overseas, running their business, raising their children and spending time with cherished friends and family.
Craig loved flying, going on motorcycle trips, restoring vehicles, using his hands to build, fix and create, and above all, he loved telling stories and spending quality time with the people in his life. His laugh will forever be remembered through the radio waves in the sky and throughout the universe.
