BOSOMWORTH – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Sharon Louise Bosomworth, on January 12, 2024, in Calgary, at the age of 82. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was born on March 23, 1941, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She worked for the city of Calgary for 35 plus years, first as a supervisor of the land assessment clerical section and then later the legislation and policy section. She en-joyed singing in the choir, traveling, reminiscing with friends, and music. She had a great sense of humor, always remembered to send birthday wishes and gifts, had a sharp mind “go ask Sharon if you need to know where something is”, and was generous. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Greg, Derrick, and Lana (Niall); her grandchildren, Lane, Lindsey, Curtis, Levi, Ryker, and Lara; and her niece Patti. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Opal Larsen of Rolling Hills; and her brother, Erik (Bud) Larsen.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 3:30 p.m., at Choice Memorial Funeral, 4715 13 Street NE, Calgary. At a later date she will be buried in the Larsen plot in the Rolling Hills cemetery.
