Scheuchner – Sharon Lynn Scheuchner (Snape) – 1951 – 2006 – Our beloved Sharon received her angel wings on Saturday, July 29, 2006. Sharon was born on December 7, 1951 in Bassano, AB to William and Ferne Snape. She grew up in Brooks and Rolling Hills and finished high school in Medicine Hat. Sharon married the love of her life Allen Scheuchner in February of 1972. In 1973, Sharon and Allen began taking in foster children and soon knew this to be their calling. They adopted Ralphine and Todd in 1978, Shaun in 1981 and David in 1984. Along with these children now as their own, they began their career devoted to the care of handicapped clients who came to love Sharon and Allen unconditionally. Sharon began her 14 year battle with cancer in 1992. Ever dignified and strong, Sharon faced her illness with a brave heart and positive outlook. Left to mourn her loss is her loving husband Allen, children, Ralphine (John) Gibbons, granddaughter Hope, sons Todd and David Scheuchner, all of Calgary. She is also survived by her sister Norma (Rand) Berg of Brooks, AB, brother Bruce (Marion) Snape of Duchess, special sister-in-law Judy (Buzz) Buijs of Grand Prairie, Allen’s family, mother Blanche Scheuchner and sister Hazel (Don) Snyder all of Ponoka. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces , nephews and wonderful friends will dearly miss her.
