Rougeau – Raymond Rougeau of Brooks, Alberta passed away peacefully on Feb. 17, 2020 at the age of 85 years.  Raymond was born in Cluny, Alberta on Feb. 22, 1934 on the family farm.  He joined the RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force), after graduating High School in 1955.  When he completed his advanced flight training he flew CF 100’s and joined the 410 Fighter Squadron.  In 1958, Raymond went to Trenton, Ontario, for flight instructor training and in 1961 was an instructor at CFB Penhold, Alberta.  In 1962, he was invited to join the RAF (Royal Air Force) in the UK, where he was stationed for 2 years.  This gave him the opportunity to travel to many countries of which he had many fond memories.  When he left the RAF, he moved to Calgary and worked in the Oil & Gas industry.  Raymond received his R.I.A. (Registered Industrial Accountant) designation attending night school for 7 years, while holding a full time job.  This was a true testament to his strength of character.  Raymond advanced in the Oil & Gas industry as a well-respected Senior Accountant and enjoyed his work until retirement, which gave him more time to spend on his many hobbies.  He loved outdoor sports, including downhill and cross country skiing, snow shoeing, bike riding and golfing.  This led to him volunteering at Fox Hollow Golf Course in Calgary as a Starter and Marshal for over 10 years, which gave him great satisfaction.  Raymond was diagnosed with Dementia and moved to an AgeCare Facility in Brooks in March of 2018.  His family appreciates the care and respect shown to Raymond by many dedicated individuals. Raymond was predeceased by his parents, Martial Sr. and Lucienne Rougeau, sisters Rosa, Florence and Marie Lucienne.  He is survived by his brother Martial Jr. (Carol) Rougeau and nieces and nephews, Lorrie (Lyle) Kristianson, Leona (Brad) Petrick, Chris Kaughman, Robert Fleury, Raymond (Judy) Fleury, Ted (Diana) Rougeau, Debbie (Randy) Bell, Joe (Sue) Rougeau and Kathy (Perry) Young, along with all their children and numerous other family members. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 25, 2020 at 1:00 PM from Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev.
