Ramsay – Eva Mary Ramsay, beloved wife of the late Gerald P. Ramsay, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the age of 73 years. Eva was born October 9, 1940 in Dublin, Ireland to William and Elizabeth Ramsay. Eva married Gerald P. Ramsay on February 4, 1964 in Ireland. They later moved to London, England and in 1967, they immigrated to Canada, making Brooks their home. She was known for her outgoing personality, her infectious smile and her perfectly styled red hair. Of late, she enjoyed family, card games, dancing, and all her good friends at the Newbrook Lodge. Eva was predeceased by her husband Gerald, her parents William and Elizabeth Ramsay, one infant sister, her father-in-law William Ramsay all of Dublin. Leaving to mourn her death are her 3 boys, Gavin and his wife Janice of Medicine Hat, Craig and his wife Cindy of Strathmore and Patrick and his wife Treena of Brooks; 6 grandchildren, Danielle Seguin, Lee Seguin, Taylor (Blake Hutchinson) Ramsay, Hailey Ramsay, Shelbi Ramsay and Tyson Ramsay, and one very new and special great grandchild, Liam Gerald; her brothers and sisters; her mother-in-law; her brothers and sisters-in-law all of Dublin as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 10:30 AM from Smith Memorial Chapel. Deacon Robert N.J. Wilson officiating. Cremation to follow.
