    Purcell – Doris May Purcell of Brooks, beloved wife of Clarence Purcell, passed away with family at her side in Long Term Care at Brooks Health Centre, Thursday, December 15th, 2016, at 95 years of age. Born in Moose Jaw, SK. to Charles and Ethel Garner. She was raised in Hudson Bay, SK., served in RCAF during WWII, married 1945 in London, England to Clarence. After the war they returned to Canada and farmed at Dinsmore, SK. Later moved to Saskatoon, Wakaw, wintered in Tucson and moving this last year to Brooks. Doris loved nature, fishing, quilting, making bread, travelling and camping in Old Blue, cottage at Wakaw Lake, square dancing, cribbage, the Toronto Blue Jays and hiking in Arizona. She is predeceased by her parents, two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law and one grandson. Doris is survived by her husband Clarence; daughters, Darlene (Carter) Curran and Bonnie (Ed) Jenkins; six grandchildren and their spouses and thirteen great grandchildren. There will be a graveside service later at Dinsmore, SK. In memory of Doris donations can be made to Telemiracle/Kinsmen Foundation Inc., 2217C Hanselman Court, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7L 6A8.

    Cremation is entrusted to Smith Funeral Home Ltd. and Crematorium, Brooks.
