    Peterson – Terry Wayne Peterson of Brooks, beloved husband of Laura and dedicated father to Koen and Nate, passed away at Brooks Health Centre on Friday, May 23rd, 2014 at the age of 49. Terry was born in Lac La Biche, Saskatchewan on July 21st, 1964 and experienced many moves due to his father’s career. Terry lived in Edmonton, Tripoli, Libya, Indonesia, Singapore and London. At 19 years of age, Terry moved back to Canada and began University where he studied Engineering, Anthropology and later, Education. Terry loved supporting his boys in the Rosemary fun Hockey League. He was the #1 cheering fan and so enjoyed watching Koen and Nate play. He was an avid golfer and spent time using his telescope to view the stars. Terry enjoyed teaching others and sharing his passion for learning about the galaxies. Terry was a BIG hearted guy to whom family meant everything! Wherever he went he made friends and many of them are now considered part of Terry’s family today. When Terry was told he had cancer, he fought the battle of battles and inspired many people along his journey. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, colleagues and students. There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday, June 5th at 7:00 P.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Deacon Robert N. J. Wilson Officiating. A lunch reception will follow in St. Mary’s Parish Hall.
