    Pariseau – Kathleen Michele Pariseau of Brooks, passed away on Saturday February 18th, 2023 surrounded by loved ones at the Brooks Health Centre after her hard fought battle with cancer. Kathleen is survived by her husband Garret Pariseau; children, Aaron (Cassandra) Pariseau, Matthew Pariseau and Kaitlyn (Joshua) Pariseau; grandkids Willow Hann and Jayce Pariseau; mother Shelagh (Ken) Dennis; brother Cameron (Melissa) Straub; in-laws George and Elaine Pariseau, as well as many other friends and family. Kathleen was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 9th, 1967. After graduating from Westwood Collegiate in Winnipeg in 1983, she met her future husband Garret, while working for Canadian Tire and they married on April 14th, 1990. In the year 2000, after the birth of their children, they moved to Kitchener, Ontario, where she continued to work for Canadian Tire. From there, Kathleen and her family moved to Brooks, Alberta in 2005, where she started working at Freson Bros., at the customer service/post office desk, until 2020 when the grocery store closed. Shortly after she moved to the main Canada Post office in Brooks. Kathleen will be remembered most for her upbeat bubbly personality, always having a smile on her face, as well as a fierce love for sports especially football, hockey, and speedskating. While cheering for her beloved hometown teams; The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and The Winnipeg Jets, she also supported her two youngest children in traveling the country to speed skate. While doing so, she earned her way to being a level two place judge, judging many provincial and national competitions. Throughout her years in retail and involvement with her kids, sports, she made many friends amongst coworkers, customers, and other parents. She will be greatly missed by all but never forgotten. The Family would sincerely like to thank Dr. Bisch and his team at the Tom Baker Cancer Center in Calgary, Alberta. The doctors and nurses at the Brooks Health Center, and Thea, Kathleen’s Homecare nurse, who made her smile every time she visited. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd at 2:00 PM from the Heritage Inn and Convention Centre, Brooks.
