It is with great sadness that the family of Jeanette Elizabeth Owen announce her peaceful passing at the Brooks Hospital on Tuesday, August 26th, 2014 at the age of 76 years. Jeanette was born on September 17th, 1937 in Medicine Hat. She married Alvin Owen on January 12th, 1957 and together they raised their family of three children. Jeanette was predeceased by her husband Alvin Owen, parents Robert and Margaret Cairney and one brother Ken Cairney. She is survived by her three loving children, Darrell Owen (Linda Ross), Susan (Meryle) Dupont and Jeff (Terry) Owen; grandchildren, Cindy (Rick) Kingcott, Owen Dupont, Jessica (Jon) Mcgonigal, Taylor Owen, Mallory Owen, Kendall Owen, Jaydee Owen and Lexi Owen; great grandchildren, Aidan and Parker Mcgonigal and Kyle and Kenzie Kingcott; two sisters Margaret (Henry) Schlossberger and Joan Shannon; two brothers Bob (Vicky) Cairney and Bill (Gerri) Cairney; brother in law Don (Marg) Owen; two sisters-in-law Alice Morris and Faith Henry along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A celebration of Jeanette’s life will be held in Patricia at a later date.
