Kuiper – Lorraine Florence (nee Berreth)
April 16th, 1944 – February 5th, 2016
It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved Lanny, our wife, sister, mother grandmother and aunt. Lorraine Florence Kuiper, passed away on February 5th, 2016 at the age of 71 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband John of 51 years, her daughter Jennifer (Gord) Edge of Peterborough Ontario, along with her grandchildren Tyler and Shelby Stinnissen also of Peterborough, two sisters Sylvia and Bella Frey both of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, her brother in law Bert Kuiper, numerous nieces and nephews and Robert her 11 year old Shih tzu. She was predeceased by her mother and father Stella and Bill Berreth, her mother in law Nell Kuiper and her bother in laws Peter Kuiper, Ernie Frey and Alfred Frey. Lanny was born and raised in Maple Creek and in 1964 she married John Kuiper. Upon marrying John they bought a small farm in Piapot, Saskatchewan. In 1971 John and Lanni moved to Brooks, Alberta where they would settle. Lanny enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, gardening, quilting and cooking.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10th, 2016 at Brooks Evangelical Free Church, 625 8th Street W Brooks, AB T1R 0E3. Reverend Daniel Peters Officiating. Interment to follow at Brooks Cemetery. Visitation will be open to the public and held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 9th at Thom’s Funeral Home in Duchess.
