Patrick Jay Harvey Faulkner
1977 – 2022
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Patrick announce that on July 27, 2022, Pat lost his life in a farm accident at his acreage which he loved so much. We are grateful that he did not suffer.
Left to mourn him are his beloved family, his wife Heidi and his sons Emmett, Wyatt and Everett. He also leaves his parents, Howard and Betty Faulkner; his brothers, Michael (Amie) and their children Owen and Gabriella, and Steven (Robyn); Heidi’s mother and father, Peter and Laurie Braun; her sister, Carla (Nathan), and children Noeline, Nicholas and Graeme; her brothers, Peter (Nicole) and their children Eveline and Peter, and Martin (Aimsley). Pat was surrounded by many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Faulkner, Braun and Kehoe families.
Patrick was proud of his work at Western Economic Diversification and the accomplishments of his staff. He loved seeing someone develop their talents. His empathy for anyone struggling with anxiety, professional or personal difficulties, could always count on a helping hand and a kind ear. He wanted to see everyone succeed. Pat had this in his nature his whole life.
Patrick was a kind, gentle person who loved the outdoors, auctions and working on building things and fixing cars. His huge shop and yard were his playground. As Heidi expanded her collection of farm animals, Pat designed and built homes for them.
Pat was an incredibly kind, gentle soul who immediately made the people around him feel welcome and special. He evoked smiles, and the occasional groan, with his wit, found humour in life and spent hours laughing with his friends and family – the most important part of his world. All we can see is his Grandmas, Grandpas, and Uncle Pat holding their arms around him.
A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated August 4, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Albert Catholic Church.
