Comeau – Olga Annie Comeau of Brooks, beloved spouse of Grant Daley, passed away in Brooks hospital on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023 at the age of 84 years. Olga was born on the family farm near Davidson, Saskatchewan, on March 5th, 1939 to Abraham and Elizabeth Penner. She attended school until grade 8, then, in her early forties, she attended Lethbridge Community College where she earned her Certificate in Commercial Cooking. Olga and Grant met when she answered an ad he placed for a child care worker / house keeper and over time a loving relationship blossomed.  Throughout their 48 years together, they lived and worked on farms near Botha and Brooks, prior to moving to Rolling Hills and eventually to Newbrook Lodge. Olga utilized her education, working as a commercial cook in restaurants, and later found joy and a sense of fulfillment working as a homecare aide, allowing her to help others in their time of need. Always willing to pitch in where needed, Olga was a volunteer, canvassing for a variety of charities, organizing community rides on the handi-bus, preparing delicious soups for the Drop In Center for their soup and sandwich fund raisers.  She made a difference wherever she went. Other pleasures of life included camping, dancing, playing cards and gardening. Olga loved sharing good times with family and friends and will be fondly remembered for her love of music, sense of humor, infectious laugh and being a great friend to all. She was predeceased by her parents, Abraham and Elizabeth Penner; granddaughter, Darby Comeau; siblings, Lorraine, Tilly, Diane, Henry, Johnny, Ernie and son-in-law Matt Jarmin. Olga is survived by her loving spouse, Grant Daley; family, Vernon & Karen, Carla, (Shaun); Randy, Randell, (Patrick); Lennie & Ivan, Scott (Melissa), Kristin, (Trevor), Matthew, (Lorne); Jo Ann, Graison, (Raven), Andrew; Louella, (Keith); and 14 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 13th at 2:00 PM from Rolling Hill Community Centre. Rev. Debbie Daniels officiating.
