Aebly – It is with great sadness that we announce Danny Bruce Aebly of Atlee, AB passed away unexpectedly in Medicine Hat, AB on Jan 3, 2024. He was born in Medicine Hat Hospital on April 4, 1950, and was 73 years old. Dan is survived by his loving wife Gwen Aebly; children, Dustin Aebly (Jodi), Denton Aebly (Tracy), Dallas Wilcox (Derek), and Dannell Stucki (Chris); grandchildren, Hadley, Callie, Paisley, Dax, Cort, Fynn, Sully, Harper, Morgan, and Harrison; brothers, Brian Aebly (Giselle) and Gene Aebly (Laurie); sisters-in-law, Liz Houseman and Donna Halter (Daryl); brothers-in-law, Kenneth Vanderloh and Keith Vanderloh (Wendy) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Ernest Aebly, mother Muriel (Babe) Aebly, brothers Wayne and Randy Aebly; father-in-law Winifred (Win) Vanderloh and mother-in-law Jacquline (Jackie) Vanderloh. Dan was known for his love of camping, hunting, shooting, fishing, Hereford cattle, sausage making, homemade pasta, music, poker, and Molson Canadian. He was always willing to help out his family, friends, and neighbors. But above anything else, he loved his family, and his grandchildren were the light of his life, you knew it by the love and adoration in his eyes as he watched them. Dan will be missed dearly but will live on in the memories of all those whose lives he touched. A Celebration of Life for Dan will be held on Friday, Jan 12, 2024, at the Buffalo Community Hall at 2 pm.
