Wells, Beryl, (Betty)
Born in Oxford, England in August of 1916, Betty passed away peacefully on the morning of July 17, 2007. She was pre-deceased by her first husband Ken Southern in 1944 and her second husband Cecil Wells in 1993. Betty was a war bride spending the early years of her married life in Port Arthur, Ontario. Following her marriage to Cecil in 1947, she spent several years in Chile before she and Cecil moved to southern Alberta in 1954. They left many friends behind when they retired to Victoria in 1982 to be closer to family.
Betty is survived by twins Susan (Hillicke) and James, (Muriel), Southern, sons Andy, (Shelly) & Mark, (Denise) Wells, daughter Heather, (Sid), (Weiss), 8 grand children and 3 great grand children.
Many grateful thanks to the staff of Resthaven Lodge for their thoughtful and loving care over the past years.
A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews Anglican Church in Sidney on Friday, July 27 at 1:00 P.M. in the afternoon with a reception to follow. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu, donations in Betty’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC in Victoria.
