    Cese Versikaitis of Brooks, passed away in Brooks on April 16th, 2004 at the age of 78 years. Born in Virbalis, Lithuania on October 15th, 1925 Cese moved Venezuela after World War Two and came to Brooks in 1972. She worked for the Horticultural Station and later for the Brooks School Board, retiring in 1988. Cese was a member of the EID Legion for many years. She loved her family, gardening, flowers and dancing. Cese will be remembered for her golden heart, her green thumb and for her cooking. She is predeceased by 2 sons, Stasys Versikaitis and Raymundo Biskys, parents Pranas and Marija Kisielaitis, sisters Nellie and Anne Albright and infant brother and sister. Cese is survived by her loving family, daughter Virginia of Cagua, Venezuela and 2 sons Marcelino and his wife Ellen of Brooks and Joe and his wife Michele of Medicine Hat; 8 grandchildren, Raymond Jr., Ronni, Lily, Javi, Ashley, Miranda, Miguel and Jericka; 3 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Maria (Ziggy) Kalvaitis of Burlington, Ontario and Irene (Clarence) Seitz of Edmonton; brother Joe (Julia) Kisielaitis of Montreal and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass services will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 22nd from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rev. Bryan Frank Celebrant. Honorary Pallbearers are all Cese’s family and friends. Active Pallbearers are Lane Albright, Mark Villenueve, Clarence Seitz, Ray Juska, Sabine Wilken and Shelly Green.
