    TAUTFEST, RAY DONALD—passed away May 28th, 2014 in Mesa, Arizona, age 80. Ray was born in Bassano, Alberta November 2nd, 1933. He is survived by his loving wife Patsy O’Brien of Mesa, Arizona and his two daughters Patty (Kelly) Bielert of Cardston, AB and Debbie (Dave) Spalding of Tuscon, AZ. as well as 2 grandsons, 5 grand-daughters, and 6 great grandchildren. Ray was pre-deceased by his parents, Nell and Margaret Tautfest, sisters, Terry Lynn Tautfest, Virginia MacIsaac, Laurea Shields, and his son Wesley Ray Tautfest. Most recently his second son William Craig Tautfest passed away in September 2015. Dad was an excellent sportsman, enjoying and excelling in judo, hockey, and baseball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. The summer holidays to Penticton were always a favorite. Dad was a very talented successful businessman throughout his life and was always up for a good joke. He was well known in Rosemary as an “elevator man” and served the farming community there well. After retiring, Dad moved to Arizona full-time where he later met and married Patsy O’Brien who cared for him till his passing. Before his passing, Dad donated his body to science. We hope this gift will somehow help those who struggle with the rare disease he had. We will miss you Dad! Graveside service will be held in Rosemary, AB, October 31, 2015 at 1:30pm. Inurnment in Rosemary Cemetery.
