It is with great sadness that the family of William (Larry) Summerbell announce his sudden passing on June 10, 2009 at the age of 67.
He was born in Brooks, Alberta on August 12, 1941.
He is survived by his loving family, his wife Isobel of 41 years, daughters Anita (Dana) of Brooks, Norma (Jeff) of Cranbrook and son John (Sharon) of Brooks.
He is also survived by his six grandchildren Otto of Lethbridge; Kirstie, Courtney and Arya of Cranbrook; Owen and Kolby of Brooks; sisters Marjorie (Roy) of Taber, Jean (George) of Lethbridge, Marion of Lethbridge and brother Jim (Sandy) of Edmonton. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry went to help Peter Hansen at Brooks Alfalfa for one day and it was 42 years late he finished his last day of work.
His passion was his 1960 Pontiac Ventura and he enjoyed meeting people at car shows and at the race tracks. Larry will be greatly missed by his family and friends mostly by his four footed friend Kitty!
Funeral services will be held Wed., June 17, 2 pm at Smith Funeral Memorial Chapel.
