    Frank John Sulek, born September 01, 1940 at Vauxhall, AB, passed away suddenly at his home in Calgary. He is survived by his two loving children, Marty (Alison), Shawna (Steve) and two much loved grandsons Alexander Frank and Julian John. He is also survived by his brothers, Stan (Gail), Ed (Lorraine), Jim (Jeanette), Tom (Carol) and sister Elsie (Bob) Strach and several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his parents John and Bertha Sulek. As a child, Frank moved with his parents to Tilley, AB, where he grew up and attended school. He was an avid hockey player and was well known in the district for his “Hat Tricks”. Upon graduation he moved to Calgary where he started working in road construction. After becoming a father, he coached little league hockey for several years in the Haysboro community. He always loved antiques, and operated his own little antique store on 8th Avenue SE where Olympic Plaza now stands. He also owned and operated Frank’s Trucking until retiring in 2001. Frank was a well known figure at all the local antique and car auctions. He had a passion for sourcing out antiques. Frank will be sorrowfully missed by his children, grandchildren and his family. A Memorial Service to celebrate Frank’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church (924 Heritage Drive SW), Calgary, AB on Thursday, October 9, 2003 at 2:00 pm, with the Rev. Rod Sykes officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society, two charities toward which Frank regularly contributed during his life.
