Saka – Tomokichi Saka of Bassano, passed away in Bassano on September 12th, 2006 at the age of 98 years. Born in Mie, Japan on June 25th, 1908 Tomokichi farmed in the Rosemary area for many years. He was a founding member of the Rosemary Buddhist Church. Tomokichi was predeceased by his wife Midori (Eto). He is survived by his loving sons, Tomomi and Hiroto both of Edmonton. Funeral services were held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 21st from Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. Izumi officiated. Honorary Pallbearers were all of Tomokichi’s family and friends. Interment followed at Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond, Alberta. In memory of Tomokichi, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of choice.
