Rutherford – Edith Victoria Rutherford (nee Faulkner) passed away peacefully June 18th, 2008 at Orchard Manor in Brooks at the age of 80 years. She was predeceased by her husband Don (Charles) in 1991 and by her parents, Arthur & Elizabeth, and sister Isabelle. Edith was born August 16th, 1927 in Lloydminster, SK and resided in a number of Alberta communities during her lifetime. She will be fondly remembered for her quick wit and gentle ways. Edith loved the outdoors and found much pleasure in camping, skidooing, gardening, and watching birds and animals. She had a love of all things family and took great interest and pride in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Loving memories of this little lady will be treasured by her children Terry (Lloyd) of Caroline, Brian (Judy) of Olds, Doug (Jody) of Brooks, and her former daughter-in-law Linda, as well as by her 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Monday, June 23rd at 3:00 p.m. at Smith Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor John Theiss.
