    Richardson – Edna May Richardson of Medicine Hat, passed away in Medicine Hat on January 26th, 2005 at the age of 90 years. Born on the family farm near Haughton, Saskatchewan on March 28th, 1914, her family later moved to Forgan, Sask.. In 1932, Edna married Cephas (Pete) Reynolds and farmed in the Dinsmore, Sask. area where their first daughter Pearl was born. In 1934 they moved to Meadow Lake, Sask. where they farmed for seven years and where Doreen and Ken where born. They moved to Rolling Hills in 1941, where Elaine was born, and owned and operated a meat market, pool hall, barber shop, restaurant and also farmed. They drove school bus, Edna read meters for Krepps and Calgary Power and worked in Biebers General Store. They both enjoyed dancing, curling, fishing, traveling and Saturday night gatherings at home with family and friends playing, music, dancing and midnight lunches. Edna was very involved with different clubs and organizations. In 1963, Pete and Edna moved to Tilley where they owned and operated the C&E General Store and Laundromat, until their retirement in 1972. After Pete’s passing in 1981, Edna married George Richardson helping him with the Arcade Coffee Shop and Pool Hall. After their retirement, George and Edna became snow birds for a few winters and traveled coast to coast and many points in between until George moved into the Brooks Nursing Home. After George’s passing in 1994, Edna remained in Tilley until 2004 moving to Medicine Hat with her daughter Doreen and son-in-law Steve where she had resided since. She was predeceased by her first husband of 49 years Pete Reynolds, her second husband of 12 years George Richardson, daughter Pearl Unser, grandson Alan Kindred, great granddaughter Ashley Baron, parents George and Kate Dickinson, brothers Bill and Les Dickinson, brother-in-law Ed Hanke and two sons-in-law Kasper Unser and Bill Derrickson. Edna is survived by her loving family, son Ken (Marg) Reynolds of Kelowna; 2 daughters Elaine Derrickson of Westbank, British Columbia and Doreen (Steve) Juhas of Medicine Hat; step-daughter Evelyn (Mike) Ellerman of Edmonton; 2 step-sons Mel (Pat) Richardson of Windsor, Ontario and George (Karen) Richardson of Edmonton; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; brother Ted (Rene) Dickinson of Rolling Hills; 2 sisters Kay Hanke and Ivy (Harold) Beattie all of Rolling Hills; 2 sisters-in-law Joan Dickinson of Rolling Hills and Elfreda Dickinson of Brooks and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 31st from the Brooks United Church. Rev. George Edmonds officiated. Active Pallbearers were all of Edna’s grandchildren.
