Reule – Mr. Herbert Gottfried Reule, formerly of Rolling Hills, beloved husband of the late Renata Reule, passed away at Sunrise Gardens in Brooks on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the age of 86. Herbert came to Canada in April, 1954 from Marienfeld, Bessarabien, Romania, landing in Quebec. He then headed west by train to settle near Lethbridge. He married Renata Klettke on June 7, 1954 and they lived for 2 years in Coaldale, Alberta. He worked on sugar beet fields and on November 2, 1956 they moved to Rainier where they bought a farm with his parents. July, 1974 they moved to Rolling Hills where he worked a new farm and continued to live and work with his family; Carl, Sherry and children until retiring to Sunrise Gardens in 2014. Herbert loved his family very much and enjoyed all kinds of farm animals. He spent a great deal of time in his garden and caring for the many cats and dogs around his home. He had a strong faith in God and was involved with Salem Lutheran Church in Rainier and Faith Lutheran Church in Rolling Hills. Herbert was predeceased by his loving wife Renata in 2012; granddaughter, Sarah Lynn Reule; brother Arthur Reule and sister Anna Witt. He is survived and deeply missed by his loving family; two sons, Rolf and his wife Carol and their 2 children; son, Jason (Sayaka) and daughter, Jodi Yousif (Fred) and their son Declan; son, Carl and his wife Sherry and their 4 children; daughter, Ashlee Coston (Kyle) and their 2 children Keelyn and Brooklyn; daughters, Elissa and Carlene Reule and son, Blake. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church in Rolling Hills. Graveside Services followed at Rolling Hills Cemetery. Reverend Reg Berg Officiated.
