    Reesor – Helen Reesor passed away in Brooks on March 31st, 2005 at the age of 84 years. Born in Leeds, England on February 9th, 1921 to Walter and Mary Harrison, Helen served in the Royal Artillery Service in the British Army during World War Two. She married Al Reesor (who predeceased her in 2001) in 1945. Helen came to Canada, to Walsh, as a War Bride to join her husband in 1946 and they moved to Brooks in 1951. Helen had worked with the Kitchen Staff in the Brooks Hospital for a number of years. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion – EID Branch #63 and the War Bride Association. She loved to travel, to walk and classical music. Helen will be remembered for her love for her family. She was predeceased by her parents, a daughter Peggy Hansen, infant great grandson Phillip Twin, and two brothers-in-law Harold Sween and Keith Reesor. Helen is survived by her loving family, her children – daughter Jean (Harry) Humphries of Okanogan Falls, British Columbia, daughter Barb Peggie of Brooks and son Alan John (Jacquie) Reesor of Brooks; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters Edie (Trevor) Edwards in Wales and Jean Sween of Vancouver; son-in-law Ron Hansen of Slave Lake and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM on Monday, April 4th, 2005 from Brooks United Church. Rev. George Edmonds officiated. Honorguard and Fraternal Services were provided by members of the EID Legion. In memory of Helen, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to The Poppy Fund, Box 967, Brooks T1R 1B8.
