    Grant was born in Camrose to Cliff and Myrtle Reed, the youngest of seven children. He died of cancer in St. Mary’s Hospital at the age of 77 years.
    He started his career with AGT in Camrose. He worked in Leduc and Edmonton and then returned to Camrose for his last years with the company. He retired to Mulhurst where he lived for 10 years before returning to his beloved Camrose in 1998.
    Grant loved music, hockey, traveling, and coffee at Fiona’s. He was a family man who loved people and made friends wherever he went. He spent many years actively involved in working with organizations that served handicapped people.
    He is survived by his loving family; wife Fran (Daly), daughters Melanie Reed-Zukowski and her husband Pat of Brooks, Sandra Reed of Edmonton, and his “chosen” family Brad, Tanja, and Sophia Burns of Edmonton; his brothers Lloyd, Don (Agnes), Keith (Pat), and his sister Doris Myhre (Ole), and his sister-in-law Phebe Reed; Fran’s brothers Bill, Dick (Alice), Keith (Shannon), Bert (Heather), and sisters Colleen Black (Jim) and Jan Macklam (Mark), and many cherished nieces and nephews.
    Grant was predeceased by his dear daughter Anita; his brother Bric; and his sister Mil MacPhee; as well as his siblings-in-law Angus MacPhee, Doug Stewart, Arlet Reed, Rod Daly and Gail Daly. He loved being a part of this large extended family.

    A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 16, 2014 from Camrose United Church with Rev. Liz Carter-Morgan officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery. To send condolences please visit www.burgarfuneralhome.com.

    It is with great fondness that we remember our dear Anita who died 10 years ago on November 13th, and we take great comfort in knowing that she and her Dad, Grant Reed, are together again.
    Anita and Grant both had funerals on November 16, Anita in 2004 and Grant in 2014.
