Rath – Albert Rath, 1916 ~ 2006 – Mr. Albert Rath of Tilley, Alberta passed away on Friday, April 7, 2006 at the age of 89 years. Albert leaves to cherish his memory three children, Harold (Roberta) Rath of Medicine Hat, David Rath of Tilley, Beverley Rath (Dutch) of Lethbridge; four grandchildren, Raymond (Nicole) Rath, Perry Rath, Ryan Peard, Brandi Peard; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Tyler, Mitchell; one sister, Lydia Smith of Calgary as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two children, Richard and Valerie; three sisters, Amelia, Mary and Esther, as well as six brothers, Robert, Jack, Gottlieb, John, Art and Andrew. Albert was born in 1916 at Tot Hill, Alberta. He started farming at fourteen years of age, spending over twenty years in the Mannyberries area before moving to Tilley in 1970. He continued farming in the Tilley area until shortly before his passing. The Funeral Service will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Loren Hosfield officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
