It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Velma May Plumer (Harris) in Bassano, Alberta at the age of 85 years. Velma thoroughly enjoyed curling, golfing, giving time to community clubs, working in her yard and driving her Chevy Malibu. Her favourite pastime were reading Danielle Steel books, watching Young and Restless and working on her Japanese Bunka, which she discovered on her travels to Hemet, California. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all the staff at the Bassano Health Centre for taking good care of Velma. Velma was predeceased by her husband Dick, son Alan Plumer and a daughter Lesley Plumer. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Tracey Dundas (Glen) of Hussar, AB. and her son Kent Plumer (Lois) of Saskatoon, SK.; her grandchildren, were her pride and joy, she will be missed by Dallas Dundas (Kailee) of Athabasca, AB., Nicky Nash (Trent) of Crossfield, AB. and Bronwen and Kenna Plumer of Saskatoon, SK; Velma’s great grandchildren Lena, Corbin and Ellis were the apple of her eye; two beloved sisters Betty Jo Bergen (John) of Bassano, and Joan Barron of Calgary. The family invites everyone to join them for lunch on Thursday, March 16 at 2:00 PM at the Elks Hall in Bassano to share memories and celebrate Velma’s life.
