    PFEFFERLE – Anthony (Tony) beloved husband of the late Olive Pfefferle of Rolling Hills, passed away on August 25, 2004 at the age of 86. Born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan on January 7, 1918. After his schooling, Tony worked on the family farm in Lake Lenore, Sask. World War II began, he volunteered for the Navy. While at Port in Nova Scotia he met Olive who was working as a ship welder. On March 29, 1948 Tony and Olive were married in Toronto. The newlyweds moved to Lake Lenore to farm Tony’s father’s homestead. In May 1957 they moved to Rolling Hills, where he resided until now, with the exception from November 1965 to 1967, at which time they lived with their children in New Zeland. Tony and Olive owned and operated a service station in Rolling Hills for two years. After this time, Tony wored a variety of jobs including farming and the oil patch. Tony enjoyed visiting with family and friends, lending a helping hand to others, gardening and reading the Bible. Tony was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Olive, his parents and three brothers (Mat, Max and Leo), an infant daughter and grandson. He is survived by his loving family, daughters Gwen (Ken) Miller of Rolling Hills and their four children Terri Dahl (Shawn), Jason Miller (Rhonda), Keith Miller (Pearl), Brent Miller (Elaine), Kathy (Bruce) Harty of Medicine Hat and their three children, Robert Harty (Melanie), Neil Harty (Lisa), Danny Harty (Christina), sons Frank (Gina) Pfefferle of Duchess and their three children (Kristen, Tyler, Paige), David Pfefferle of Rolling Hills, five sisters (Theresa, Ann, Betty, Dora and Sister Canisia), 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on August 30, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Rolling Hills Cemetary with a luncheon at the Rolling Hills Community Hall.
