Pedersen – Stanley Ronald Pedersen, beloved husband of Faye Pedersen of Tilley, passed away after “one of the best years of my life” on May 28th, 2004 in Brooks at the age of 53 years. Stan was born in Brooks on December 13th, 1950 to Chris and Grace Pedersen of Tilley. He attended school for 1 year at Renfew and the remaining 11 years in Tilley. Winters were spent working jobs in Calgary and Brooks until he took over the family farm in 1979. Stan and Faye Anderson of Tofield were married there on April 30th, 1977 and were blessed with three children. Stan embraced life and death with humour and insight. Throughout life, his excitement for God and for learning never diminished. Stan was predeceased by his father Chris on January 7th, 1981. He is survived by his loving family, wife Faye; children Mandy, Kendra and Zane; his mother Grace Pedersen of Brooks; brother Ernie (Diane) Pedersen of Hanna; sister Judy (Sean) Kelly of Calgary; nephew Kevin (Heather) Pedersen and their daughter Jacelyn of Hanna; nephew Kelly (Kris) Pedersen and their sons Logan and Kolby of Hanna; father and mother-in-law Phillip and Norma Anderson of Tofield; sister-in-law Sandra (Paul) Rider and their sons Justin and Curtis of Calgary and brother-in-law Bruce Anderson of Camrose and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 1:30 PM from the Evangelical Free Church, Brooks. Rev. Don Gillett officiating. Pallbearers were Rick Christiansen, Earl Skriver, Norman Jasperson, Kevin Pedersen, Kelly Pedersen and Darin Neufeld. Interment followed at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery. “The sun will come up tomorrow and God is still in Heaven”.
