Pakarno – Jerome Philip Pakarno, beloved husband of Isabel Pakarno of Rosemary, passed away in Brooks on March 23rd, 2005 at the age of 65 years. Born in Saskatchewan Jerry received his education in Compeer, Alberta. His family moved to Hays in 1955 where they farmed and Jerry later began working in the Oil Field. He and Isabel Flaws were married on March 31st, 1962 in Vauxhall and resided in Hays until moving to Rosemary in 1971. Jerry will be remembered for his generosity, his sense of humour, and for fixing and repairing anything and everything that he could. He was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Elizabeth Pakarno, sister Antonia Jones and a niece Karen Gertzen. Jerry is survived by his loving family, wife Isabel of Rosemary; daughter Crystal Lintott and her husband Scott of Brooks; son Corey of Lethbridge; 4 siblings Gilbert (Marlene) Pakarno of Vauxhall, Otto (Lillian) Pakarno of Lethbridge, Marie (Arnold) Gertzen of Vauxhall and Linda McAughey of Ontario; brother-in-law Dan Jones of Vauxhall and numerous extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 30th from the Rosemary Mennonite Church. Rev. Roy Hewko and Rev. Ken Bush officiating. Active Pallbearers will be Sherry Pakarno, Barry Pakarno, Kevin Gertzen and Barb Howe.
