    (July 15, 1939 – February 17, 2018)
William Robert (Bill) Kennedy of Brooks, beloved husband of Eva Kennedy, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 years.
Bill was born on July 15, 1939 to Ernest and Dorothy Kennedy in Coleman, Alberta. At the age of 14, he moved with his family to Calgary. It was there he met Eva Bennett through a mutual friend. He invited her to a drive-in movie and she accepted. On June 20, 1959 they married, beginning 58 years of love, friendship, family and devotion to each other.
Many knew and respected Bill throughout his work career. He was honest and forthright, with a quick sense of humour. He started at Canadian Pacific Railway in 1957 and went on to work at Canadian Pacific Oil & Gas, and later Pan Canadian Petroleum. He retired in 1996.
Following retirement, Bill and Eva were able to pursue the hobbies they loved including fishing, camping and travel. Bill also loved genealogy and was the historian of the Kennedy clan.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Ernest & Dorothy Kennedy and sisters Eileen and Margaret. He leaves to mourn, his wife and best friend, Eva; daughters Deborah (Wayne) Haydu, and Michelle (Sam) Rempel; grand-daughters Jennifer, Megan, and Rebecca; and many family members near and far.
