HAYES, Patricia Louise
May 9, 1937 – February 12, 2024
Patricia Hayes, beloved wife of the late Clayton Hayes, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2024, at the age of 86 years.
Patricia was born in Calgary, AB, where she attended West Hillhurst School and Crescent Heights High School and was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets. She worked at Western Printing in Calgary until she met Clayton Hayes and they immediately fell in love. They were married on April 6, 1957, and soon after moved to Edmonton where they had four wonderful children.
In 1975, they moved to the Town of Brooks and became heavily involved with local sports. Pat was an active golfer, curler, and baseball coach. In 1997, Pat and Clayton moved to Calgary, AB, where they got to spend many happy years with their family. Pat was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her family, her friends, and an occasional glass of the good stuff. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Patricia is survived by her two sons, Randy (Dianna) of Brooks, AB, and Richard Hayes of Calgary, AB; daughter Jodi Montgomery (Neil) of Calgary, AB; three grandchildren, Zoë Montgomery, Ryan Montgomery, and Robbie Montgomery; step-granddaughter Jodi Sadleir (Jeremy), step-grandson Cory Atchison, two step-great-grandchildren, Wyatt Sadleir and Cooper Sadleir; sister Irene Macdonald of Calgary, AB. Patricia was predeceased by her loving husband Clayton, son Robert Hayes, brother Dick Jones, sister Josephine Jones, and parents, Bert and Ethel Jones.
