    HAMM – Anna Martina Hamm (nee Nelson) March 07th, 1928 – April 19th, 2018
    Woman of God, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and dear friend, Anna Martina Hamm, 90, of Brooks, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, April 19th, 2018. Anna was born near Rose Valley, Saskatchewan, fifth of thirteen siblings. Born and raised on a homestead, Anna, and her siblings, learned to work the farm, from tending daily chores, to working the fields behind teams of horses. Her faith in God was fostered at home. She attended Robinsdale School 5 miles west of Rose Valley, Prairie High School in Three Hills, and Nipawin Bible Institute, for training as a missionary to Japan. After one 5 year term, she returned to Rose Valley, where she met and married Harry Hamm in 1960. Three children were born before the family moved to Brooks, where two more children were born. Anna was a homemaker, caring for her family first and foremost. She enjoyed knitting fantastic sweaters and outfits for many loved ones and friends. She was very involved with the Brooks Evangelical Free, serving as church secretary for many years, teaching Sunday School, as well as helping lead Pioneer Girls, and participating in the Women’s Missionary Society until recent years past. When Harry retired, they both enjoyed traveling, across Canada and internationally. Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50+ years, Harry Hamm in 2013. Anna is lovingly remembered by her children – Roger Hamm and Dawn Crosby, Zander; Ruby Hamm; Roxanne and Doug Dafoe, Erin and Barry Weber, Arianna, Felix, Brett and Ashley Dafoe, Theodore, Elliott, Bryce Dafoe; Ron and Terri Hamm, Adrian, Shiloh; Randy and Hannah Hamm, Brendan, Miranda, Lucia; and many extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 26th at 2:00 PM from Brooks Evangelical Free Church. Pastor Garth Everett officiating.     Cremation is entrusted to Smith Funeral Home Ltd. and Crematorium, Brooks.
