He worked for numerous ranching and feedlot operations which included XL Ranches, Matthies Ranches, and the Duchess Grazing Association where he retired in 2019 after 32 years of managing the pasture. He started brand inspecting with the government in 1985 on a part time basis which transitioned into fulltime and eventually into the area manager role that he held until the time of his passing. Dale and Lois built a quality commercial Black Angus limo cross herd that produced many champions throughout the county of Newell and beyond.
