Anderson – Corrine Marie (Clark) Anderson was born June 23, 1930 in Edmonton, Alberta to Bert and Lillian Clark.  She was welcomed by her brother, Ken, into the family.  Unfortunately they lost their mom, Lillian, early due to a brain aneurism.  Grandpa (Bert) Clark, with help of family and housekeepers, lovingly cared for his two little ones.  They moved as a family very frequently over the course of years.  In 1938, Bert married Kay Dupont and became a family of four.  Not long after two little sisters-first Diane and next Trudie completed the picture.  Their family home was in Calgary and many happy memories were built there.  During high school Marie worked at Birks Jewellers, biked out to work the family garden at Midnapore and entered singing competitions.  Marie entered the Nursing Program at Calgary General Hospital and graduated in 1951.   Employment took her to Brooks, where she developed many life – long friends-the most important of which was with a blue-eyed Swede from Scandia, Kermith.  This friendship bloomed into a loving relationship which spanned 67 years.  They were wed in Calgary on June 12, 1954 and celebrated with family and friends at a reception at the Clark family home.  And so began the great adventure of loving, learning to live together, raising a family, farming and countless other endeavours on the farm in Scandia.  Marie’s interests were extraordinary-incredible voice and music talents, sewing countless quilts, clothes and projects, knitting, yardwork, baking at least a million cookies, serving in the community and ELCW, leading sing songs at community events, being the crazy clown in the parade, nursing skills, etc.  Marie’s greatest passion was caring for her husband and family-being a great wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma.  Everyone was loved just for who they were and prayed for constantly.  She always wanted to know everyone was looked after.  Great friends in the community meant the world to Marie and she thoroughly enjoyed coffee and visits.  Marie and Kermith moved into Brooks December 2017, which was a big decision, but being none to complain or regret took it all in stride.  There they renewed friendships and enjoyed the gentle care they received.  Most recently they moved again and settled into another challenge of change, but made it work.  The most important thing was that they were together.  Marie passed away suddenly November 5, 2021, she just quietly slipped into Heaven, where she is enjoying great freedom and peace.  We treasure all she gave to us and know we have big shoes to fill.  Marie leaves to mourn her passing, her devoted husband, Kermith; daughter Barbe and husband Dennis; son Tim and wife Cathie; daughter Patti and husband Vince; son Stephen and wife Kim and son Dale and wife Cheryl.  The list is completed by 22 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memory is sister Trudie and family and three sisters-in-law -Virginia, Carol and Elaine and numerous nieces and nephews, friends and those whose lives she touched.  Funeral Services were held on Saturday, November 13 at 2:00 PM from Salem Lutheran Church, Scandia.  Rev. Jakob Pillibeit officiating.  Interment at Scandia Cemetery. In memory of Marie, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Salem Lutheran Church, General Delivery, Scandia, Alberta   T0J 2Z0 or to a charity of choice.
