The Brooks Bandits won two and lost one over the weekend during their three game road trip to B.C. and so remain in third place.
On Friday Brooks defeated the Salmon Arm Silverbacks 6-1, on Saturday the Bandits lost to Penticton Vees 6-1 and on Sunday the Bandits doubled the Vernon Vipers 6-3.
On Jan. 13 Bandits Davide Patella was suspended for a game for an illegal check to the head which was an increase to a penalty he had received during the game.
On Sunday Patella again received an illegal check to the head penalty as did Nathan Brown.
The Bandits remain in third with 54 points behind the first place Vees who have 62 points and second place Trail Smoke Eaters who have 57 points.
The Bandits will face the 16th place Spruce Grove Saints this week in Spruce Grove. The last time the team’s met on Jan. 15.
On Saturday the Bandits will host the 21st place Blackfalds Bulldogs. The teams haven’t faced each other since Nov. 22.
