Volk – Harold Joseph Volk of Brooks, beloved husband of Marilyn Volk-Schimenosky, passed away in his sons’ arms in Brooks on February 19th, 2004 at the age of 59 years. Born in Richmond, B.C. on February 29th, 1944 Harold received his education there. He worked as a heavy-duty mechanic in many provinces, before coming to Brooks and working for Brooks Asphalt as a trailer mechanic. Harold loved his family and classic cars. He will be remembered for his easygoing gentle nature. Harold was predeceased by his father Frank Joseph Volk. He is survived by his loving family, wife Marilyn of Brooks; 2 sons Duffy of Brooks and Jason of Campbell River, B.C.; 2 grandchildren Dylan Joseph Volk of Nanamio, B.C. and Kennedy Helen Kathleen Volk of Campbell River; mother Rose Volk of Penticton, B.C.; 3 brothers Ron and his wife Pam of Tappen, B.C., Bob and his wife Carol of Gold River, B.C. and Ken and his wife Sandy of Medicine Hat and numerous other family members. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Penticton. In memory of Harold, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
