Margaret Falk, beloved Wife of the late Knud Falk of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the age of 79 years at the Foothills Medical Center.
Margaret married Knud on November 9, 1957 and moved to a farm in Duchess where she had her three children, Bruce, Brian and Janet. She moved to Calgary in 1963 where she became an active member in the Tuxedo Community receiving a lifetime membership in 1995. Margaret enjoyed her gardening and flowers boasting the nicest yard in Tuxedo. This year she had just completed her harvest and was preparing for next years planting season. Margaret enjoyed her pickling and preserves giving most of what she made to family and friends. Margaret was best known for her cooking and baking skills which she was able to pass onto her grandchildren with cooking classes. She taught them how to make her famous cabbage rolls and shortbread cookies.
Margaret is survived by her sons, Bruce (Josie) of Calgary and Brian of Salmon Arm, BC; her daughter, Janet (Greg) of Duchess; and her grandchildren, Conor (Lacie), Kieran, Shaneigh, Siobhan, Kylan (Jackie), Chaffen (Madison), Lindsay (Craig), and Josh (Sammy-Jo). She is also survived by her brother Albert (Kaireen) of Vancouver, her sister Bev Morgan of Calgary, her sister Ivy Morgan of Edmonton, as well as one great-grandchild, nieces, and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, and husband Knud Falk.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
