    Turner – Ronald Frederick Turner of Brooks, passed away peacefully in Brooks on Tuesday, January 13th, 2015 at the age of 68 years. Born in Brooks on March 6th, 1946, Ron received all his education in Brooks. He worked a variety of construction jobs in Brooks such as the BC Pea Growers facility and the County of Newell building. Ron’s work in construction and pipelining, took him to travel to the Yukon and the North West Territories. He finished his career working for Flint in 1980, due to health reasons. Ron was also active in the Rodeo Circuit, participating in Wild Horse Racing, Saddle Bronc Riding and Team Roping. He volunteered with the Brooks Museum and with some local farmers to occupy his time. In his later years, he looked after his horses and could always be seen with his dogs. Ron loved his family, hunting, fishing and anything outdoors, especially watching a good Bronc ride. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Jemina, brother Allen, 2 brothers-in-law Terry Steidel and Melvin Roth and sister-in-law Kathy Turner. Ron is survived by his loving siblings, Lynn (Ted) Piraux of Calgary, Donald Turner of Elk Point, Alberta, Darlene Roth of Medicine Hat and Ken Turner of Medicine Hat and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Brooks Cemetery on Monday, January 19th at 2:00 PM.
