In Loving Memory of Patsy Irene (Lee) Darago It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Pat on Sunday, April 28, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. After a courageous battle with a lengthy illness, she peacefully departed with her family and her side. Pat was born in Brooks, Alberta, on October 8, 1950 to her devoted parents, Robert and Viola Lee. She spent her formative years in Tilley, alongside her cherished sisters, Judy and Jackie. After graduating from high school, Pat pursued higher education in Calgary when her journey led her to Jim McClelland, they were married in July 1971. Pat lovingly welcomed four children into the world, Krystine, Bradley, Scott, and Jody. Pat and Krystine were happily reunited later in life which made our family finally complete. Pat faced many challenges and made sacrifices to give her family the life they deserved. She worked at the Tilley Hotel, the Brooks Horticultural Centre, and even a manager at McDonald’s. Her adventurous spirit took her to Rolling Hills, and she eventually settled in Brooks for several years. In August 2004, Pat found love once more when she married Nick Darago. They embarked on a new chapter together, moving to Calgary and later settling in Medicine Hat, where they shared their lives until her passing. Pat leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted husband, Nick Darago, her daughter Krystine Salmon (Joe), her sons Bradley and Scott (Kim), and her daughter Jody. The joy of her life was her precious grandchildren: Ty, Ethan, Emily, Daniel, and Megan. Additionally, she embraced her stepchildren, Darin and Nicky, along with their grandchildren. Her sister, Jackie (Julian), holds a special place in her heart. Jackie’s children, Bobby (Sydney) and Derek (Sheyanne), as well as their children Autumn and Amara, were dear to Pat as well as her sister Judy’s children, Paul and Tanya (Paris), and their children Dina and Andreas. Pat’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will forever echo in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace.
